For Year 10-12 Students using a MacOS Laptop some setup is required to allow the device to be used on the Sacred Heart Network.
The video below will guide you through the required process OR if you prefer, follow the steps below.
Step One
Connect to a Wifi network with internet access. If you are at the College use "SHC OnBoarding"
Step Two
Open a browser, If you do not get automaticly redirected to the "Sacred Heart College Network" login page then goto https://cppm.shc.sa.edu.au/onboard/device_provisioning.php
Step Three
You will now be presented with multiple links to complete printer setup and install Chrome. Complete them as prompted before proceeding. If you miss these steps during this process you can follow the help articles below
Step Four
Click the "Install Certificate" and allow the download of "mdps_profile.php.cer" if prompted. Keep your browser open as you will need it later.
Step Five
Goto the downloaded file (mdps_profile.php.cer) in your downloads and select it. This will open up the Keychain "Add Certificates" dialogue box. Change to the "login" keychain using the dropdown box and select add.
Step Six
After you have added the certificate, you need to trust it. Do this by selecting the "login" Keychain in the Keychain Access application. You will see a "Sacred Heart College" certificate listed with a red mark on it. Double click it to expand it. Expand the "Trust" section by clicking on the arrow next to the word "Trust" and change the value of "When using this certificate" to "Always Trust".
Step Seven
Close the "Sacred Heart College" Certificate window by clicking the red circle in the top left of the window. Your Laptop will ask you for your Laptop password or fingerprint to verify the change.
Step Eight
Back in your browser, select the link "Install Profile"
Step Nine
You now need to authorise the downloaded profile. To do so goto "System Settings" located on your Apple menu in the top left of your screen.
Step Ten
Use the search function of the "System Settings" to find the "Profiles" section and select it.
Step Eleven
You will see a profile named "SHC", double clicking on it will provide a "Are you sure you want to install this profile?" dialogue box, Click "Install" which is located in the bottom left corner of the dialogue box.
Step Twelve
You may be prompted again to confirm the install, if so select "install" and authorise this change using your Laptop password or fingerprint.
Step Thirteen
You now need to trust the installed certificate. Do this by selecting the "login" Keychain in the Keychain Access application. You will see a "NetBox Blue [SHCS] 20150610110011" certificate listed. Double click it to expand it. Expand the "Trust" section by clicking on arrow next to the word trust and change the value of "When using this certificate" to "Always Trust".
Step Fourteen
Close the "NetBox Blue [SHCS] 20150610110011" Certificate window by clicking the red circle in the top left of the window. Your Laptop will ask you for your Laptop password or fingerprint to verify the change.
Step Fifteen
Repeat steps thirteen and fourteen for the certificate named "Sacred Heart College TLS Inspection"
Step Sixteen
Make sure you connect your laptop to the "SHC Users" network when using it at the College.
